About Me
I suppose my love of crafting probably began at school with the now ‘infamous’ patchwork quilt. At the age of 10 we were given a 'Victorian' project and I decided to do some patchwork and over the years I have taken the quilt out and had another go at it, but yet it remains unfinished. My mother says I will probably finish it in time to be buried in it!
And so began a lifelong interest in making, cooking and growing things!
A jewellery course a few years ago opened my eyes to the possibilities to be had with lovely sparkly crystals, gems and beads. This led to another course in precious metal clay and I was hooked.
While staying with friends at the Glastonbury festival a few years ago I got chatting about sewing and suddenly felt inspired to dust off the sewing machine I had asked for as a 21st birthday present. I fell in love with fabric all over again.
Over the last few years I have gathered together a number of ‘crafty’ friends who never fail to inspire me to try new things. So I hope you will enjoy my journey through the world of craft and lovely (sparkly) things.
